Christmas eve at home

I brought Shawn into the office for an hour plus as his school closed at 1pm today. He was being nice and didn't fuss much. Had fun watching his own face on the screensaver, my boss' screensaver and playing with the plastic bowl and nougat (Joanne bribed him with that. Heheee!) on my table. Most of the time he was sitting on my desk but the best part was he allowed a few people to carry him. He went round the office collecting goodies. Hah!

Today's dinner was lovely. YT bought roasted pork knuckle and black pepper chicken from NTUC, and added on LOTs of green peas, carrots and brocolli. Yummy! Meanwhile Shawn too had something special - a mix of Chinese style (steamed cod with white button mushroom) and baked cheddar with pasta, green beans and brocolli. He had most of the fish, ate one button mushroom and refuse to self feed the other one. In fact when I served him with the baked pasta on fork, he jolly well ate it. When I had the mushroom poked onto the fork, he took a good look and dropped the fork on his table . Tiny tot making decision!

We had quite a peaceful dinner with Shawn as the occasional background little drummer boy. Midway through our dinner, YT saw him doing the milk milk sign.. I was thinking ooo man.. you just had your dinner and you're asking for milk?! We managed to prolong the peace for quite awhile. Of course, that peace comes with a little bribery of carrots and his damaged Baby Einstein Dog book. There is this page where it shows a dog panting when its warm. We usually stick out tongue out and imitate a dog panting when its warm. When we ask him "What does dog do when they are warm?", he would react a light "ha ha" sound with his mouth open.

After our dinner while waiting for me to prepare his bath and stuff, YT was carrying him around. Shawn went touch frenzy again. So YT asked "Shawn, what do you want to touch?" At that same time I was squirting water out of his bath duck and he heard it. Coincidentally he answered YT, "Duck". Then YT tried asking again, the same answer "Duck". I went forward to them with the duck and YT asked him again and Shawn answered "Duck". Later, I left him in the cot alone with his Tiny Rockers Car book (which tickled him non-stop at Borders on 9Nov). He stayed there quitely flipping the pages for about 15minutes. That's quite an achievement.

Merry X'mas!
