Stranger anxiety

On Friday we went YumCha at East Ocean again. Met Joanne, hubby and Neysha ; Johnny, wife and Ruben. Shawn showed not much interest playing with the kiddos. Instead he wanted to move around in the restaurant and wanted to look at fishes in the aquarium outside.

We were at OP on Saturday for Justin's birthday party. Perhaps Shawn was not familiar with the clubhouse and the crowd. The moment he went there, he cried, tears fell freely. Oh boy... we whisked him out of the function room and distracted him with his lunch. He took a long while to cool down and to readily accept all other YT's cousins. Ugghhh....

We met with Ange, Jensen and baby Aden for Sunday lunch. He didn't seem friendly at dinner table (plus it's lunch time and he missed his morning nap). Anyway, after his fish and mash potatoes, he wanted freedom and whining to get off the high chair. My mum entertained him while we were chatting after our lunch. He didn't want to nap, until 4plus when we got home.

I'm not sure why is he behaving this way. He seemed to have stranger anxiety during our meetups with family and friends. (coupled with hungry stomach and lacking of nap to make things worse). But in school he is comfortable with other kids and is not clingy... headache!
