We did not have to go through the apple routine and all the wailing yesterday. Well, perhaps he thought he was eating apple when I gave him tomatoes (steamed with fish). I refrained from mentioning the A word. Anyway, after dinner, I brought him to the playyard to play, while I had a call for work. Just as we were inside he did his poop and oh boy.. what a stench in the study room (and I have no time to clean in up as I had to dial up)! Then he kept himself busy talking to the Sesame streets cards by repeatedly saying "Ei". One by one 26 of them, he pulled out of the box. Then when he tried to keep them, he couldn't do so but when he was trying, he said "Keep" to himself. Anyway, he didn't manage to keep a single one. Then he knocked on my chair and handed me Spidey and said "Elp, elp" - help. So I helped him to press the button for the music to come on. Each time the music died, he came back and knocked for me to help him to press on the music to turn on. After like 20minutes in the playyard by himself, he turned whiny and asked to "paopao". So, I opened the playyard gate and let him roam around in the study room while I was in the call. He browsed through some of YT's books and took out the GMAT book and flipped it as if there was anything interesting inside. Wow.. what a good start! :)
Right after my call ended, I picked him up and whisked him off to bath. He was whiny and wriggling about so I turned on the TV to let him watch Wheel Of Fortune while I wiped him down before bath. Well, that TV programme did work well. As the constestants won some big money and the audience clapped, he too went "Eeeeiiiiii" and clapped. As usual , after bath I parked him in his cot and placed some books there while I bathed. After that, I asked if he wants milk and he responded me with "milk milk" meaning that yes, he wants. So he drank and after that lights out. He whined and asked to walk walk. I said no, sleep time. He quietly lie down and ask to pat. I patted him for about 2-3minutes. Then I heard snoring and off I go :) He passed out until 7.30am today. That's 11hours!

Wow.. Shawn gonna be kor-kor soon and already behaving like one.. :)
I am waiting for the day Aden will sleep 4 hours in a stretch at night.. the last few days, off and on, he will whine every hour or so in the night.. teething discomfort maybe? Cause even when I offer the breast, he refuses and just keeps whining.. poor boy.
Before the 11hrs record, he would sometimes sit up at about 4-5am, whine a bit and then go back to sleep himself. Perhaps he knows we need more sleep now.. especially me the Mommie. Hahahaaa
Aden will grow out of it. Else next time during his intermediate wakings, try to sing/pat him back to sleep... would that work?
