Applause to Tr Seena.. never fails to impress my son on nature science. I need to google more often!
Silkworm lifecycle
As we were looking at a picture of a dull brown caterpillar
Shawn : Mommie, silkworm caterpillar hatch out from the egg. They eat leaves, then they hide in the cocoon. After that a moth come(s) out from the cocoon
Mommie : Ooo.. really? I thought they'll be butterflies?
Shawn : Nooooo! Moths!
Mommie : Ooo.. who taught you this?
Shawn : Tr Seena said moth come out from silkworm cocoon
Mommie : Okay, Mommie need to learn more from you!
So the thing is, eggs hatch out silkworms (larvae). What seemed to me should the silkworms survive the cocoons, go into pupation cycle (turn brownish), moths would emerge from the pupa. Wow.. I'm really proud that he remembers the lifecycle!

Black widow and Tarantula FACTS
Shawn : You know, spider black widow spin web. Tarantula doesn't spin web (Pointing at a hairy spider picture)
So I know about black widow because I had seen that on Nat Geo. On tarantula I googled and yes he is right!
How praying mantis eats
Shawn : Praying mantis use forelegs to catch other insects, put in their mouth and munch. Yum yum yum (as if he's eating bread)
Mommie : Oooo don't they just bite other butterflies or beetles?
Shawn : No, they catch with their forelegs and put in them in (their) mouth
