Our Weekend

The morning review
We brought them to Dr Khor on Saturday. Shawn has cough and a little runny nose so it would be better that we bring him to see a doctor. He had thrown a little tantrum as we wanted to head out of the clinic to have our breakfast while waiting for our turn. To add on to that, he couldn't eat his favorite fruit yoghurt breakfast from the cafe. So this pretty unhappy kid had to eat whatever the mommie ordered for him, a blueberry muffin. Apparently the cough is not bacterial and vomitting sort, so he is spared from antibiotics. Both had their throat checked. Shawn has a little swollen tonsil and slightly red throat. Other than that he is fine. He weighs 16.2kg 102cm, while Dylan is 12.1kg 80.5cm.

Starscream
After that we went to Takashimaya. YT bought Starscream for himself and our #1 kid can happily now say, "Bumblee is Papa('s) and Starscream is mine".

YT : Starscream is good or bad?
Shawn : Bad
YT : Why do you like Starscream?
Shawn : Because he is a bad guy
Mommie : Oooo really? you like bad guy?
Shawn : Don't tell lies mommie
Mommie : ok, then what about Bumblebee? Now that you like bad guys?
Shawn : Yes I like bad guys...

He now hogs Starscream, pestered YT to make the robot into a jetplane and back. There was one incident when we accidentally mentioned Starscream turning into aeroplane, Shawn rebutted and said, "No! Not aeroplane, it's jetplane"

Night Safari
We had a date at Night Safari with the Yongs. Half way on SLE, it started pouring and we were disappointed. But luckily we didn't turn back. When we reached Night Safari, it was still raining while we had dinner. Shawn had expensive chicken rice there! Rain stopped, what a relief! Before we went in there was a dance just outside. Shawn was fearful of the fire eater. He burst into tears when he 1st saw the performance. Dylan hugged on me but didn't cry or budge. We went in for the 7.30pm show. Dylan enjoyed the show very much and he's a great great 'supporter' and active participant (clapping away). They both love the otters and mongoose (me too!) in the show. The tram queue after the show was very long, so we decided to take a walk along Leopard Trail. Yes, uphill downhill without a stroller with Dylan on the carrier and Shawn asking to be carried on and off. And nope, we didn't get many pictures taken coz it's all dark anyway! We didn't cover the whole park, probably 1/4 or so only. YT and I went home with sore legs and shoulders. However, am glad both kids are happy at the end of the day. And knocked out in the car without kicking a fuss...

Sunday at home
We couldn't crawl out of bed in the morning to get to Botanic Garden. The kids woke up at 7+ in the morning. So we decided to just stay home and rot. Not sure how the day passed so quickly, tada it's night time now. I'm still tired and sleepy, and just getting to recuperate from the walk yesterday.
