Oh.. where was I?

I haven't blogged in quite awhile. Shawn has been growing well and been healthy. He is one happy, extremely chatty and smiley kid. We are thankful that he has been a good kid, sleeping through the nights since 2months back. Except one or two nights when me, the blurry mummy wrapped the diapers unprofessionally that they leaked.

The infant care centre which Shawn goes to was plagued with HFMD. Up to end of last week, there were 11 cases of HFMD, 10 coming from the infants side. Shawn was one of few infants who were the lucky ones. We were staying at home the whole of last week because YT and I were worried of him getting HFMD. So for Monday to Wednesday I was working from home and I realised that it was not easy handling the little one and trying to concentrate to work with him yacking, shrieking and screaming at times, next to me. Up to the 3rd day, I was darn tired and decided that I should just take Thrusday and Friday off. I also took this week's Monday off to stay home, ran some errands and rot. I was lucky my mum came by on Friday and at least there is another pair of hands over last weekend and this week. What a relief! Anyway, Shawn went back to school yesterday. All the kids are separated in their respective cots and no socialising is allowed. Parents are no longer allowed to go into the centre. All we could do is to get the teachers to pick up the babies and pass them to us when we pop by the centre.

Right.. another story... Two weeks ago Shawn had this brownish red looking dot on his right eye. We were paranoid if it was a mole in the eye which had appeared out of a sudden, overnight. So we saw a eye specialist in Gleneagles. The old doctor told us that it's birth mark. It didn't seem to make sense. So, a couple of days later, we made an appointment to see a PD eye specialist in NUH. He confirmed that our dearest baby Shawn must have rubbed/scrubbed whatever he did to his eye, he did it SOOOO hard that a cluster of his tiny blood vessels burst, causing the little red dot to appear.

What I want to know is where do you find the energy to work, look after Shawn and find time for this blog!!!
