Last night Shawn had bad cough when I put him into bed. It was so bad that it made my heart aches... So we decided to bring him to Dr Khor. Apparently it might have been a prolonged cold (even though there was an absence of cough for a week). Dr Khor commented that there is still wheezing and he has to take wheezing medicine. Dr Khor said that it's bitter and Shawn would hate it. It was the same one that Dr Lee gave him a couple of weeks ago. I tried a little just now when I was giving him the medicine. Indeed it was bitter. But Shawn took the 2doses today in stride. Little did I know I was feeding this yucky medic for 1.5wks a few weeks ago. One brave boy!
While having the syringe in my hand, I make it a point to tell him, "This is medicine. You may not like it but it'll do you good. I just want you to recover soon." And he takes the medicine with less/no struggle these days.
