I am taking time to write what had taken place during out Sentosa break.. taking my own sweet time to do so. :)
5Dec08 Morning & Afternoon - Shawn & I spent the whole morning at home. Shawn napped at late morning to around noon time. Before I left home, I cooked his meal for the day and stored in the food jar. While my brunch was a packet of maggi mee + egg + veg. From a nutrition perspective, I should say this is perfectly fine as I had not eaten maggi mee for ages. Hahaha... He woke up at about noon and we left for Sentosa in a cab. Yes, there were Shawn, a trolley bag, a diaper backpack and me.
When we arrived at Rasa Sentosa it was already almost 1pm. In the room, I just left him on the floor to explore around while I unpacked the bag. But I still needed to keep an eye on him. He seemed really happy to be manouvering around on his own; he crawled all the way to the bathroom, toilet area and looked at himself in the full length mirror. I had to "reset" and bring him back to the far end of the room as his starting point again. He would look into the the dustbin under the writing desk, looked under the base of the playpen and the bed. Stood up and kept on banging the sliding door of the balcony. I felt I needed to store more food in my stomach so we went to the Silver Shell Cafe. I fed him his lunch at close to 2pm at the cafe while I have my tuna sandwich.
I was thinking whether to go to Vivocity because of the timing. Called up the receptionist to check and made a decision to just hop on the 2.40pm bus with Shawn and a diaper clutch in tow (just one diaper, mini pack of wetwipes and my wallet). A short walk from Harbourfront to Vivocity seemed forever. Indeed, his weight was too much to bear for 2hour walk - of course with an interval of sitting down to rest for about 10minutes. I felt like my legs were just going to break any minute. This is all because the hotel did not have any stroller for me to loan that afternoon, duh.. even though I had already asked for it a week earlier. While he taking a nap, I dropped by Starbucks for an ice blended Mocha and window shopped. Bought 2jar food in case the quick fix on Saturday and Sunday didn't work. So it's just standby. Apart from that I had my retail window shopping which was not satisfying at all and nothing else. Bleah... We took the 4.40pm bus back to the hotel.
Bathed him and dressed him up. While I took a bath, I turned on the Pink Panther on Cartoon Network. Kept him glued for a few minutes. Then he just decided to sit down in his playpen and munch on his mini board book. Then I settled his dinner in the room. He was quite busy climbing up and down the sofa, then bang on the sliding door.
This was his dinner. The rest of it.. TBC

mic...u alone with shawn to sentosa ah? steady la u...can manage and take all these stuffs by yrself with a baby in tow. Papa leh?
Papa at work. He brought another eco bag along :) The trolley bag not the super big ones la. Credit must be given to the Ergo carrier hahaa else I cannot manage:)
