Dinner at Jumbo

I was hesistating if Shawn and I should go and join the dinner last night. At 5pm I decided to go ahead. Packed up and left office at 5.30pm to pick Shawn up. Then went home and cooked porridge with wolfberries and garden peas, with a steam cod fish fillet. While I was feeding him, I steamed an apple. Right after his porridge, he requested for apple. So I gave him about a quarter of the steamed apple and packed the remaining to be fed during our dinner. Just after 7pm we headed out of our home. When we arrived at Singapore Indoor stadium, Shawn was greeted with a playground. He went "Wheeeeee, wheeeeee" when he saw it. I quickly carried him away and distracted him by saying we're going to meet papa.

I walked him to Jumbo where we met, Lai's father, U. Anthony and U. Fred, A. Sandra and A.Shirley, Shawn was shy. He was whiny and was acting like a worm when he first saw them. I fed him the steamed apple. After that he asked to walk walk. YT walked him to the river. He played with the chains near the river bank. He was reluctant to come back to the dinner table. He immediately whined when YT brought him back. Took a lot of coaxing to calm him down. U. Anthony walked him all over the place while we took turns to eat and take care of him. Whenever he tried to bring Shawn back to the restaurant, he didn't whine or cry but when YT or I try to, all the drama and tears would come out. Isn't this obvious that Shawn was bullying his parents?! Shawn happened to come across a water feature just outside Jumbo. He insisted of playing with the water (but he didn't realise the danger of it, there was a light immerse in the water). YT dissuaded him and tried to pick him up then he wailed like there is no tomorrow! Anyway, he ended up playing with it when U. Anthony took over. He also allowed A.Shirley to carry him around and refused to be carried by us after a while. Off loaded for a moment. :) Anyway, after dinner, we walked from Jumbo back to Lai's apartment. It was a long slow walk. Shawn had U. Anthony and U. Fred holding his hands and he was grinning all the way. After we passed the bridge, Then he allowed U. Fred to carry him back to the apartment about 10minutes of slow walk. See, the little charmer works his way to others' hearts but drives his parents nuts up the ceiling!

We got a ride from U. Anthony back home. Shawn was fishing in the car. By the time we got home, he was half awake. But we still managed to keep him to bath and have his milk. He slept at about 11.30pm and I was dead tired. This morning I had to wake him up at 8.30am. He woke up groggy but regained balance after his milk.
