Tonight's bedtime conversation

This took place just now:

Mommie : Shawn, do you want to sleep?
Shawn : No
Mommie : Ok, so mommie tickle you ar!

So I tickled him and he laughed and rolled to the other side of his cot. The conversation above repeated for many many times up to a certain point he surrendered and sat up at the far end corner of the cot. Then he crawled towards my direction and I decided to call to an end of the tickle session. So I said....

Mommie : I would tell thunder that you don't want to sleep ar....

There was silence... and he slumped and lie flat on his tummy, eyes closed tightly. He didn't ask to pat pat or didn't even reach out to hold my hand. For the next few minutes, there was still silence. So I asked...

Mommie : Shawn, are you crying?
Shawn : No!

I thought he was very funny when he answered me confidently while pretending to be asleep. And he continued to lie in that position until he slept.

Seems works differently in different scenarios... sometimes he can adhere to the idea of fear for minutes and repeatedly. Somtimes the word could only remind him to keep quiet for seconds only.
