Shawn's not well, under the weather... sigh.. last night was another coughing night both from Shawn and from me. The muck started coming out this morning. Today, we saw Dr Khor again and we are back to Prednisolone, Bambec and new antiB Augmentin, and continuation of Singulair, Ventolin and Clarityne. The 1st 2 (well, at least to me), are heavy duty medic but just for 3-7days. The rest are given once a day, except for Ventolin puff 3times a day. Apparently Singulair would actually work only after 2wks upon consumption. Anyway, hope the episode of medicine consumption would end soon :(
This afternoon when we got back from the clinic, Shawn was supposed to continue his nap (intermission while getting down from the cab) but he never did. I ended up napping while he's rolling and doing what-nots in the cot and when he coughed in spasm, I woke up. Then the weather took a turn. It started raining and we could hear thunder. Shawn said, "Big, big thunder", with some correction, it became "Big, loud thunder". Then he changed topic and said this, "Go outside, paopao, milk, milk, breakfast" - at 3pm. After milk, and much conversation with him, and much coaxing, he slept and so did I again. I woke up when he had his spasm of cough again.
Shawn wasn't cooperative this evening. He refused his dinner and ate very little on his own. My mum sneaked him food while he was drinking soup. Poor kid, he probably felt very bloated from the muck on his nose and the phlegm accumulation. Anyway, later tonight, he vomited phlegm and some dinner out. Hopefully he'll sleep through the nite and not ask for breakfast at 3am! Despite the uncooperative times that we had with him on and off, he is upbeat, and didn't lose a single decimal point of weight. Meanwhile we are worn off by him and the worrying episodes of cough. I'm thankful that mum is in town this time round else I really don't know how we would be able to cope without having her around to run around house with Shawn!
