Better week ahead!

Thankfully, Shawn is much much better these two days. Appetite is back and he is willing to self feed at least 1/2 a bowl on his own. Much to our relief. He's still eating porridge for his meals. Tomorrow he'll go back to school while I go back to office. I think I'm back to be under the weather... feel like I just caught a cold!

What Shawn has been saying and doing nowadays :
1. YT comes out of the bedroom, dressed up and combed his hair nicely during the weekend.
Shawn says : Papa, work, office!

2. When he wakes up from his nap and when I get YT to pick him up from the cot,
Shawn says : Bye bye fan, bye bye aircon, bye bye Ah Mi

3. One of the days when I was coughing my lungs out, while Shawn was already awake and playing in blocks in his cot, Shawn said "Ah Mi" and reached out for my hand and sayang me.

4. Last night, Shawn said, "See Di di, brother". He reached out both hands and touched my belly and sayang. He kept repeating it. Even today, he did that while he was watching Ice Age 3 (yes, again!)

5. This evening, it was getting dark. Shawn said, "No more dunder (thunder). Dark"

6. This morning, when he just woke up, Shawn said, "Piper (diaper), chou chou, change diaper." In actual fact his diaper was pretty dry. So I decided to undress him and bring him to the bathroom and I asked him to pee and he did!

7. For the past few days, he has been a little helper. He takes the diaper change mat, places it on the bed. Takes the basket and murmur, "Heavy basket". Does an inventory check by naming, "Powder, cream, Banana paste, ment (ointment), and piper (diaper) - and he unloads the whole lot of diapers and exclaimes "Empty!" and puts back the basket back to the original place. Then he would wait for his diaper change. After that we would ask him to put everything else back into the basket and he would murmur, "Heavy basket" again.

8. In order to get him to allow me use the suction to suck out his muck from the nose, my mum encouraged him by clapping his hands each time use the suction on his nose. So, now I tell him, "Green puff to get the muck dragon from your nose". Sometimes he object but most of the time when his nose is stuffy, he would allow us to do so. He goes, "Muck, puff, dragon" and lets me suck it out and I would show him the muck from his nose, he claps his hand thereafter.
