Over?

I ended 2007 unglamourously with Shawn wailing during his morning bath. Well, we all thought that big guy could wait till the bath is over for his feed but he wasn't that kind enough to let us through. Anyway, it was my first attempt to bath him. He showered me with his pee when I was just going to wipe his face. And as he was in the baby tub, he pooed. Lesson learnt, well, big guy should have his feed first before anything else.

Also, we started 2008 with Shawn co-sleeping on our bed, sandwiched between us. We didn't know babies could be such restless sleepers. He makes a lot of movements and sounds while he is supposedly asleep. After asking the confinement lady, she said it is normal for babies to be like that. On the second night onwards, we just ignored him until he cried for his feed. I am on night shift daily, changing his diaper and of course, latching him on. Was feeling tired on the first night but I am kind of used to it now.

Confinement lady just went back today. Mum is still around helping with cooking and washing. She is kind of extending my confinement diet for another week because I wasn't really eating confinement diet the last of whole month as I was avoiding gingery dishes and DOM-infused soups.

Hi little Shawn Mummy,

I've been following your blog since Shawn was in my tummy. We almost had the same EDD for our babies but Shawn had arrived earlier than my little boy, Kayden.

Reading your latest post was somehow like what I was encountering with my little boy :)

1. Wailing for milk during his morning bath
2. Pee on me or on his grandma too, so every morning we will make the shhshh and poopoo sound for him to do his big & small business first before we shower him. You may want to try that too to prevent him from pooing in the tub again :).
3. Sleep deprivation for all new mothers.
4. My little boy too had lots of sound during his stretching activity during the night. Think most baby borned in this pig year are like this, even my friend, little gal too. :D

Lastly, you may like to view our blog too at my profile link. Next time we can exchange motherly talks and stuffs....Cya
