New School

Kidstar @ CBP is closing down. The last day of operation would be 31Jan09. Means Shawn's last day at school would be on the 23Jan09 as we would be going back to Kulim for the following week for CNY. They gave us the letter sometime last week to inform us on it. To some mommies, it was sudden. To me it was as well. So on Tuesday, a bunch of us went to the new centre at CBP to view as they were having open house. The new school is huge (which also means higher capacity = more kids) and everything is new. Obviously it was very attractive. Well, the fees is high as well. I was having the dilemma to put him near to me or to put him elsewhere where it's cheaper but further (plus need to detour a little from my journey from home to work).

So, YT and I had a discussion and decided we would just sign him up in the new school in CBP. Hopefully he would adapt well to the new school. And hopefully some of his current infant friends would join him in the new school as well. I know another Dec mommie who signed her boy up for infant care. While the rest of the infants from Kidstar... not too sure what are the parent's plans for them. Elaine, Ryan and Lucas would go to different centres.

Today, I went to enrolled and paid up for the deposit. Let's hope that this is a right decision. But in a year's time, we need to think of plan C as for when he's older. We still intend to send him to Soka Kindy but it would be half day only, so what would be the arrangement for after school care??? Uggghhhh... anyway, 1 more year to think on.
