HFMD!

Last evening, when I picked up from school, I noticed little red dots on his feet. I asked the caregivers and they mentioned that they noticed it in the day but did not find it alarming because it was not blistery. Anyway he was eating and drinking normally. Still his normal self at home last night. Then after nursing last night, he seemed a little warm. I took his temperature on the forehead it was 37.4degC the highest. Then it went down. He was still polka dotted this morning. So we decided to send him to Dr Khor. He had a slice of bread with butter. I took the last bite since he didn't want it anymore. Shawn contracted HFMD, as diagnosed by Dr Khor this morning. His mouth had little red specks in it too. No blister yet (touchwood, I hope this won't develop). She told me to monitor his feeding and drinking. Importantly is to keep him hydrated. She asked if I shared any food with him and I went Opppsss yup, I did take the last bite this morning. Yikes! I hope I won't contract it, I'd know it next week. We came back after lunch. He had little bites here and there while we were eating. So back at home, I cooked him a packet of Apple and raisins oats porridge from M&S. He ate 3/4 of it and drank lots of water (tainted with Delrosa syrup :). So far so good. Now that he's taking a nap... peace... Next week, we're grounded. I'm staying at home with him. Probably be working from home. We'll see how.
