Sorter toy

I bought a wooden sorter toy last year. I dug it up and let Shawn play with it yesterday. He doesn't seem to know how to put the blocks in yet. Most of the time he tried to fit in the blocks into the slots but failed to match them. When he got bored, he threw each and everyone of the block onto the floor. Either that he'll fit into his mouth to bite. But he managed to do one. Just one. He was very happy when the block went in. Then he clapped, said "Aaaaa" and laughed. That's it.
