Last night, Shawn woke up crying and wailing at about 11.30pm. I was playing Cafe world while YT was watching TV. YT tried to calm him down but Shawn kept asking for me. It took him a very long while before he simmer down. While, we weren't sure what did he dreamt of... and I was trying so hard to calm him down in the midst of his screams and tears, I asked him:
Mommie: Why did you cry?
Shawn : sob sob sob
Mommie : Too much lion is it ?
Shawn : No no (shaking his head, pursed his lips and sob sob sob)
Mommie : Bad bad lion?
Shawn : No no (shaking his head, pursed his lips and sob sob sob)
Mommie : Bad bad Ostrich?
Shawn : No no (shaking his head, pursed his lips and sob sob sob)
Mommie : Bad bad Elephant?
Shawn : Orrrr ... (Raised his hands and does the elephant thing with his arms)
Mommie : Ooooo... elephant hurt you?
Shawn : No no (shaking his head, pursed his lips and sob sob sob)
Mommie : Elephant in pain?
Shawn : No no (shaking his head, pursed his lips and sob sob sob)
Mommie : Then what happened?
Shawn : Orrrr ... Trunk .... Eye (pointing to his eye)
Mommie : Elephant cause pain in your eye?
Shawn : No no (shaking his head, pursed his lips and sob sob sob)... Orrrr ... Trunk .... Eye (pointing to his eye)
Mommie : ..... (nothing to say and don't know what to say)
Shawn : Orrrr ... Trunk .... Eye (pointing to his eye)
Shawn : Snake (Hissed and wriggled with his arms)
Shawn : Crab (Used his index finger and thumb to do the crab claw thingie), crab... Papa cut crab... Papa eat crab
Mommie : .... So you went to the zoo is it? And saw elephant and papa eating crab
Shawn : Papa cut crab, papa eat crab, Mommie eat crab
Mommie : Ok, cut the crab (p) and sleep
Shawn : Po Po... Shawn... ostrich
Mommie : I see. Po Po brought Shawn to see ostrich
Shawn : Ah Comb (Ah Kong but he can't pronounce it right) ... Shawn ... Phant... Orrrr (I suppose he meants to say Grandpa brought him to see elephant)
The conversation went on and on with him talking and talking about ostrich, indicating elephant, eating crab and hissing snake. YT and I figured out that in his dream, he must have been "whisked" away from zoo visit with Grandpa and Grandma and he definitely wasn't happy about it. That's why he woke up wailing and throwing tantrums. This morning he woke us up at 7am and doing the Orrrr elephant sound. Both of us can't sleep anymore so I ended up sending him to school as early as 8am (never this early before!)

Haha...so funny! He must have liked the zoo outing very much :)
You should have seen the way he cried.. would have made the whole block collapse. But yea.. talking about the zoo in the middle of the nite was funny though..
