Oo Oo...

This is what happened this morning... Shawn was wailing from home to our neighbours house. He refused to budge, squated down and cried. I ignored him and walked towards the lift leaving him behind. The makcik from next door opened the door and asked him why did he cry. Took him split second to get up and walked towards me as if nothing happened. Then we went into the lift and he decided to continue his crying in the lift. When the door opened, he stopped crying and walked the usual route. He saw the cleaner cleaning up the drain. Then he spoke as if nothing happened. Then we went into the cab and I had to wipe his yucky muck off his nose and also the tears. Then he saw a truck at the next lane and there you go.. business as usual. A few minutes later, he asked for my phone. I was trying to ignore him, but he went on and on asking for it to the extend of whining. So I pretended to look for my phone in the bag. Meanwhile Shawn was chanting "Match, Papa, Phone. Bear, Mommie, Phone". I came to the idea and said "Oo Oo... Mommie left the phone at home". He echoed "Oo Oo" and still asked for it. He usually says "Oo Oo" when he can't find certain things. I managed to buy time by repeating that I left the phone at home. He kind of buy it and I also said..."Oo Oo, Mommie think Aiko ate up Mommie's phone already!". And he went "Oo Oo" again until we reached school. When we reached school, he had forgotten about the phone and went in happily to join his friends for breakfast.
