Update on Shawn

On 5Feb10 Shawn went for a field trip. The school organised a trip to Pasir Ris Kid's Kampung. They had longkang fishing, animal petting and I don't know what else. When he got back, at dinner table he excitedly told me "Shawn use net save fish" and "Shawn feed fish food". Apparently he managed to catch ONE fish. And he came back with a bagful of fish. Over one night, they were all dead... I admit I'm just not good at taking care of fish and I killed them all in matter of hours wahhahaaa...

Before I started work, I dropped my stuff back in the office, after which I went to pick up the kids from daycare. Shawn was pretty cooperative for more than half the journey. Then he requested, "I want to eat apple". I said ok when we get home he gets his apple. So when we reached home, he took off his shoes and washed his hands and feet. I cut up the apple and gave him half. He said, "I want new stool". I said, "Ok you place the new stool in front of the couch then you pick the apple up from mommie". He would quietly sit down there and finish his apple. One way to quieten him down when we are out is to buy him an apple. An medium sized apple could keep him happy for an hour or so until he finishes about 3/4 of it.

Shawn wanted to watch "Bolt". He took out the DVD box from the cabinet and go ranting that he wanted to watch "dog movie". I said ok but you have to wait for Papa to turn it on for you. When YT came out, he told him that he wanted to watch dog movie. YT turned it on and Shawn excitedly get onto the cough chanting "dog movie, dog movie"

Shawn was flying Superman with the 'jee jee, hiah hiah' sound. He came to me and poke me on the back with Superman. Then he said, "Superman disturb mommie". Nowadays he is very into Superman. Day in day out, he asks to watch "Superman". Then he would sit down with YT's expensive $$ Superman toy to watch "The Return of Superman". He could sit through 1/2 the show before losing some attention and slide down the couch to bring his cooking toys and play and watch at the same time.

Shawn says "What's that?", YT asked "What song is that?". Shawn replied "Lady Gaga, Bad Romance". YT introduced this song through youtube.com.

Now he keep asking for "Funny bad romance" which features an Afro hairstyle man singing the song and he would laugh throughout the clip.

Another song that he's recently introduced is a Korean girl band Wonder Girls' Nobody.

He knows 3words. When one says, "Nobody", Shawn continues with "Nobody but you". He has two mode, one is super soft whispering volume and one is screaming high pitched tuneless melody. Take your pick.. Anyway, we hadn't had the chance to video it down... He's so camera shy!
