Parents Teacher Conference

We went back to school today. Shawn was upset because he had to go back to school.
Shawn cried : Today no school. I don't want school. Today no school. *WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
We said: We're back in school because of PTC.
Shawn said : No, I don't want PTC. I want go home. I want eat apple.
We said: Papa Mommie just wanted to have a little chit chat with teachers that's all
He went on and on, crying and clinging on to YT, crying out: Today no school!!!

It took him 15min to settle down. Even when we asked him to join Nat, Zoe and Ashley at the playground, he got upset and cried, "I don't want tunnel, I don't want slide, I don't want see saw..." bla bla bla

After the kids left to eat some light lunch prepared by the school, he happily went to climb the ladder, go in the tunnel and slide down the slide. Now I know what he meant when I ask him everyday "what do you do in school?". This was the standard reply, "I climb the ladder, go in the tunnel" - Now, I see.. hahaa

We waited for about 1/2 hr before Tr Angeline and Li Lao Shi spoke to us. 1st thing said was Shawn is a very lovable child. But sometimes he is quite withdrawn and quiet. Reason being he is Dec child and well, he is behaving his age. He is the youngest among his classmates. The rest of his friends are born earlier. Apparently when Shawn just joined in the class, he does things at his own pace but now he has improved. He isn't the type of child who would raise his hand and say, "Teacher, teacher, I know the answer." He learns things through observing and picks things up very quickly if it's taught visually. As for his physical development, he is still having the palm grip when he holds pen or spoon. Tr has to remind him on the pincer grip. Tr Angeline was commenting may be we should reduce his exposure to spidey or some other character because he goes around school, "Spiderman, bsszzz bssszzz". And there goes another 4kids going spidey with him. :)
